Rachel | Mosaic Artist

Creativity has been an integral part of Rachel’s life since childhood. Over the years, she explored and experimented with a wide range of materials and techniques, ultimately discovering her true passion in the medium of mosaic art.

“The idea of taking an existing material, cutting it, and transforming it into something new, original, and full of color captivated me.”

For Rachel, mosaic is far more than the arrangement of individual pieces of material. It is a process of deconstruction and reconstruction — a search for the perfect connection between color, form, texture, and light. Each tile is carefully selected, hand-cut, and given its place within a composition that gradually takes shape, piece by piece.

The handmade process is an essential part of each creation. The subtle irregularities, broken edges, fragments, and varied textures are precisely what give each work its depth, movement, and character. From raw materials emerges something entirely new — rich, vibrant, and one of a kind.

Mosaic as Art

Mosaic is often associated with functional surfaces — swimming pools, bathrooms, and kitchens. Rachel offers a different perspective: seeing mosaic as an artistic medium. Through mosaic, she creates original artworks and artistic elements designed to become an integral part of a space, bringing it presence, color, and a distinctive visual expression. Her works can transform into a striking feature wall, a unique decorative element, or a focal point that tells a personal story. Each piece is created through a dialogue between the material, the space, and the person for whom it is intended. Rachel also creates custom-made works, ranging from original artworks to decorative mosaic installations for kitchens, living rooms, entryways, and other spaces within the home.
